Blimey O’Reilly this is the 300th blog post on my personal blog. Thank you everyone for reading my incoherent posts!
The 200th blog post was only back in August 2011, so it hasn’t taken too long to stumble my way to this landmark. It probably sounds bonkers, but I think I just might hit 400 by the end of the year, or at the very least be within sight.
So what has changed since the 200th blog post? Site wise there has been a couple of theme changes, with a ‘responsive’ theme now being utilised for mobile visitors, and the site performance has been improved.
Personal wise there has been a lot of bumps and hurdles along the way, but also a lot of positives as well. At times I regurgitate some of my life upon a private journal, so perhaps those entries from this era will one day find their way to this blog?
How did I reach the 300th mark? Well firstly I made the time and secondly I enjoy writing. Too many people worry about opinions. Instead let the writing flow, and if in doubt save as a draft, and revisit another day.
Some of my favourite blog posts are the ‘past revisited’ entries, so please expect plenty more of those this year. As always there will be a healthy dollop of technology related posts, amongst the diverse range of topics I cover here. Though at times I do tend to avoid various topics, so I don’t offend one friend or another. I think this has been an oversight (not the offending friends bit), and perhaps I will also blog about national and international issues from time to time.
