The last couple of weeks have seen a computer die, the boiler lose bladder control, the toilet break, the tivo box have a cardiac infarction, the kettle die, some bad news work wise and the shower curtain even broke in an accident…. I’m mean the shower curtain? What the flognog?!
I’ve not even told you everything that happened, almost each day for a while something negative happened. So we were left in a situation sometimes when one problem wasn’t resolved and another occurred. Plus within the last month the shower mixer also died.
Stressful? At times, but we just deal with the problems and with minimal expense when possible. For instance I resurrected the computer MacGyver style using a hover, cotton wool buds and compressed air. It wasn’t time for it to see Silicon Heaven (Red Dwarf). I didn’t realise it needed some attention and the issue could of been avoided. We ordered parts in for the shower and toilet, then good old DIY solved those issues also.
Unlucky for the most part, but problems happen and it is how you deal with them that matters. I find with tea readily available (kettle was replaced), an occasional flapjack or bowl of apple crumble, then most problems can be resolved.
