Well shortly I will be reaching one hundred blog entries.
I am sure colleagues who have read the blog are surprised I am not talking about small and enterprise business technical issues or practices primarily. Not boring you all to death about knowledge bases and help desks, or perhaps sql databases and cms platforms. Afraid not.
What I have written about has generated a lot of search engine traffic on specific issues and it’s growing weekly. People looking for drivers, having a specific graphic card problem and other niche problems. I’ve enjoyed getting my weekly web site statistics every week showing that perhaps I am helping people. As people who know me will confirm, I enjoy helping people.
The other entries I have written about just interest me. They can be business tech related, home computing related or just my view or interest in a bit of technology. This isn’t a corporate blog.
In the end I think this blog will survive longer if I help people and write about what interests me. Otherwise I would get bored and stop. I read a lot of blogs and will carry on getting involved with the community.
Last week I added Google Adsense to the blog. Primarily to get to know it better and secondly if it covers costs excellent. I am impressed the way google adsense works. I deal with web sites as part of my job so understanding google adsense and other related services can only benefit me and others I work with.
If anyone ever wants advice about blogging don't hesitate to leave a comment. I’ve found blogging to be rewarding and very interesting.
