Inspired by: Word for the Year

Inspired by Amber Schmitt’s 2011 blog post, I’ve chosen a word of the year for 2011. In 2011 I want to move forward in many areas of my life. With that in mind I’ve chosen the word ‘progress’. Which I hope sums up my new year resolutions and more by end of 2011.

Now Amber’s word was far more cool, she chose ‘embrace’. A great word for the year and can mean so much. I might steal her word of the year for 2012. My 2011 word of the year isn’t sexy, doesn’t have a ‘wow’ factor or is even remotely a cool word to associate with 2011, but it sums up what I want out of 2011, in a personal selfish way.

Now I have just one question for you all. What are your words of the year? Please leave a comment.

  1. Andrew, I am so pleased that you chose a word for the year! Progress is a good one. I might steal that one next year.

If anyone is wondering about the history of the One Word, click here to view my blog: http://amberschmitt.blogspot.com/search/label/one%20word and then follow the links to Ali Edwards blog who started this. I am so happy that it is reaching beyond the scrapbook world.

I’m planning to create a piece of artwork for my apartment with Embrace on it. That way it’s a constant reminder for me. And trust me, I need those.

  2. Andrew,

Joining the thread my word for this year is going to be “determination”.

To commit fully to resolve issues and advance forward personally and in business.

it is people such as yourself that brings the positive out in people you cross. I am determined to do the same!

    Best of Luck for 2011

  3. Amber I think it is awesome your planning to create a piece of artwork based on your word of the year, that is a fantastic idea.

Mike it is great to see you posting here sir and you’ve chosen a great word. Thank you for your kind words. You both are a positive influence in my life also and I’m glad I know both of you.

Cheers to both of you for leaving replies and I wish you all the best for 2011. I hope our coming years sum up our chosen words.

Thanks to Amber for her original post.

    All the best

    Andrew
